With MAGIX Music Maker by your side, you won’t need much to be able to create music. You will need a bit of skill, obviously, but you will need little else. That is because MAGIX Music Maker provides all you could ever need. It puts a user friendly environment and lots of useful tools at your disposal. Tons of samples, loops, virtual instruments and studio effects wait for you to nicely combine them and create music.

There are two MAGIX Music Maker editions to choose from: MAGIX Music Maker and MAGIX Music Maker Premium.
The system requirements for running MAGIX Music Maker are: 2GHz processor or better, 1GB of RAM memory or more (2GB or more recommended), graphics card with a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768, sound card, 7.5GB free disk space for program installation, DVD drive, internet connection to activate the software.

As expected, a wizard will guide you through the installation process. Said wizard will ask you to choose between a Standard installation and a Custom Installation. I went with the Custom Installation and this allowed me to opt out of installing additional software on my machine. Indeed, MAGIX Music Maker wants to install 3rd party products on your PC.

By default, a “Welcome to MAGIX Music Maker” dialog is displayed when you launch the application. From this dialog you can get started with a new project, load an existing project, or load a demo song. There are three demo songs that you can play with: Dance_Basic, HipHop_Basic, Rock_Pop_Basic.

Load a demo song and the application’s interface will be populated with info. This will give you a quick look at how things are arranged on the interface. Speaking about the interface, it must be mentioned that you can choose what elements will be displayed on it. You can customize it to perfectly fit your needs.

As mentioned above, MAGIX Music Maker gives you all the things you need to be able to create music: a user friendly environment to express your creativity; support for lots of media files (audio, image, video); lots of sounds and loops to choose from; lots of tracks to use; numerous virtual instruments and studio effects are put at your disposal; record from your microphone or connect a keyboard or a guitar and record it; save your work locally, burn it to a disc, share it online; and more.

Please note that MAGIX Music Maker is not free, it is only free to try. The trial version offers a limited selection of sounds and instruments. You can use the trial for free for an evaluation period of 7 days. On demand, you can extend the trial period to 30 days.

From a properly nice environment you can access tons of useful features and use them to create music. MAGIX Music Maker brilliantly offers this sort of functionality to you.

Pros

A wizard will help you install MAGIX Music Maker on your PC; the wizard will have you choose one of two installation methods. The application’s interface is user friendly and can be customized. You have access to tons of sounds, virtual instruments, and lots of other useful features. There are two MAGIX Music Maker editions to choose from.

Cons

Trial limitations, wants to install 3rd party products on your PC.
